ACCOUNTS - Payable/Receivable

The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable person plays a crucial role in our organisation as they are responsible for managing all financial transactions relating to supplier invoices, customer billing, and payment processing within a busy helicopter maintenance environment.

Key Functions of the Role:

This role ensures accurate and timely financial data entry, supports maintenance job costing through Aeronet, and upholds strong financial controls that meet aviation industry compliance standards.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a safety-focused operational facility.


Ideal candidate must have:

  • Strong Proficiency in Xero.

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable and / or Receivable (preferable in aviation, engineering or technical services)

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, especially word, excel, outlook.

  • Honest and trustworthy.

  • Ability to multitask.  

  • Friendly and approachable, providing great customer service.

  • Enthusiasm to upskill and assist when required.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Effective team player with commitment to position.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

  • Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Work cooperatively with other departments to determine their requirements and needs.

  • Receptive to new ideas and willing to embrace change.

  • Ability to create a safe culture and environment, knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.

  • Understanding of CAA Rules, SMS, Workplace Legislation, Health and Safety Act and Compliance Requirements

  • High attention to detail.

  • Great people skills with a good sense of humour.

  • Applicants for this position must have NZ residency.

 

Previous Aeronet and Aviation Industry experience would be advantageous.

 

This is a Full Time Monday to Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm) position, due to the high level of training that is involved we are after someone who is available to start immediately and is planning on staying in our beautiful region long term.
